When we think about sustainability in fashion, our minds go straight to fabric, craft, the hands that made a piece. Rarely do they go to what carries it to you, the packaging. It's easy to overlook, precisely because it's so constant. Packaging doesn't usually change with the seasons. It's the same steady layer around every order, refined a little more with time to create a much better unboxing experience, but beyond it?

Packaging carries more weight in this story than most of us realize:
- Packaging accounts for nearly 40% of all the plastic produced worldwide every year.
- Of all the plastic ever made, less than 10% has been recycled, the rest lingers in landfills, oceans, and eventually, us.
- Shopping online generates close to 5 times more packaging waste per item than shopping in a physical store.
Numbers like these can feel too big to hold onto. But they're really just made up of small things, one order, one decision, one thoughtful choice, packed a little more carefully. Multiply that by enough people, and it adds up to something bigger.
That's the thinking behind how we package every CōSu order.

Every piece is wrapped in acid-free paper, soft against the fabric, easy to recycle, closed with a single sticker. Just enough to hold it all together. The package is then slipped inside a muslin bag, breathable cotton, made to be washed and reused long after, to care for your favourite piece, carry it along for a trip, or simply store it away.
It's then placed in a water-resistant sleeve (Eco Guard), which travels with your order through any season, so what reaches you is exactly as it left our hands.
Every material is chosen the way we choose our fabrics, slowly, and on purpose. The job of packaging shouldn't end the moment it's opened. Ours is made to become a part of your life for much longer, reused, repurposed, kept around long after the moment you first opened it.

That's comfort and consciousness, in the same breath. A slower way to wear, to live, to receive.
Small, mindful choices, repeated often enough, become a way of life. That's the CōSu way of life.
